Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez; 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[5]] is a Mexican and American actor as well as film producer. She started her career in Mexico with starring roles in the television series Teresa (1989-1991) as and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood with appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal of painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also directed was the first Mexican actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6Additionally, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films, while starring in action-oriented film Once Upon a Time in Mexico in the following years.
